Dedicated mobile app connected to WordPress
It is not always the case that a mobile application also requires the creation of a dedicated web panel to manage it. In the fitanka project, we used WordPress, which the client had been using for several years, to manage the newly developed mobile application. Thanks to this approach, not only did we manage to significantly reduce development costs, but also the way of working in the CMS did not change significantly for the client. A mobile application integrated with WordPress is a perfect solution for people – who, like our client, have a large, thriving site based on WordPress and want to add a new functionality to it – a paid mobile application.

On the FITANKA platform, users have access to a very large number of workouts that are tailored to users’ different levels and goals. The workouts can include different types of physical activity, such as cardio, strength training, stretching or yoga. The FITANKA platform also offers special workouts, such as for pregnant women, the elderly or beginners.
The real hit is the "Challenges" category
A real hit on the FITANKA platform is the Challenges category, which offers users the opportunity to compete against other users, as well as against their own achievements. Challenges include different types of physical activity, such as running, cycling or weight training, and different goals, such as running a certain distance in a week. Challenge participants have access to a ranking where they can check their place and progress against other users.

There are so many challenges available on the FITANKA platform that a special search engine was created to allow users to easily find challenges that interest them. The search engine allows users to filter challenges according to various criteria, such as type of activity, duration, difficulty or type of goal. This makes it easy for users to find challenges that match their needs and skills.
There are also challenges to complete in the running module
On the FITANKA platform, challenges are also available in the running module, providing additional motivation for users to run regularly and achieve better results.
